Plants Don't Live Without Water
Stay grounded and surround yourself with things that nurture you and the things that fuel you and watch you grow beautifully.

During my workout, while listening to personal development, I heard Lisa Nichols, say ..."plants don't live without water"...  this is one of those obvious and profound statements that which on one hand made me think how I normally joke about not having a green thumb, and killing every plant I’ve ever owned or have been gifted in the past, to how this can also relate to that of one health journey.

I always start off great I water it when needed, talk to it, nurture it then for some odd reason stop being so attentive towards it. I'd gradually stop caring for it. A few days would go by and I’d get alarmed by the plants browning then try to research what to do to bring it back to life.

I’ve done this with majority of my house plants. Then I'd go back to watering it, placing it near sunlight pretty much starting all over. How many of us can translate this to our relationships with ourselves to that on again off again loving / caring relationship with plants and also to the relationships to those in our lives.  I thought about some of my tribe and fit family who may struggle with their health and wellness.

Just like plants don’t grow without watering and being tended to, we as individuals don’t grow if we don’t do the necessary things to keep ourselves in good or optimal health. Whether its physical or mental health. You can’t just water your plants once a week, never put it in sunlight, never prune it and expect it to bloom beautifully. Or do the things necessary for that particular plant or flower to flourish. Same goes with your health. With your fitness. Working out once a week won’t make you fit, neither will eating healthy once a week. And the rest of the week neglecting your goals. Daily, you’ll have to keep tweaking, keep challenging yourself and keeping your mindset in a positive state (as much as possible) in order to grow healthier. Just like a plant, ground yourself in the things that nurture you, the things that fuel you and watch you grow beautifully.

Hey Beautiful People, do you ever think you're too ambitious? Or not ambitious enough? I always set my intention towards being the best I can be each day.

Me vs. Me.

What I know for sure is that ambition will take you further that your strength.
Your ambition is reflected in the way you seize the day. Whether you are quick to give up or keep at it.
Your ambition will take you places where talent may fall short.
Your ambition will exceed your excuse to give up.
Your eagerness, your drive needs to be in a season of high expectation. The more you strive to be the best you, the further your ambition will take you.
Be ambitious lovers. Never let anyone make you feel as though being ambitious is negative attribute, it is necessary to keep your desires burning.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE

To release the ideas of lack that once consumed me. I thank God that I no longer live there.

Hey Beautiful People, can’t we be real? Some of us don’t ever feel like we’re good enough. Or that we are doing enough or that we’re making enough progress. As fast as our wheels are spinning we should be reaping in on more benefits. I’m about to honest AF right now. That is how I feel. I’m the strong friend. I know that many of my sistars feel the same way. We are the grinders and while everyone is seeking encouragement and motivation from us meanwhile we’re picking ourselves up from a good cry only to go hard again. Or some of us don’t even have tears left to cry. Some of us are tired AF of crying because when we wipe the tears away all we see is the same ish. My fellow moms/bonusmoms, fellow sisters, fellow entrepreneurs, fellow go getters and fellow business owners. I thank God for my sistars that I can be real with and the ones who are real with me. We get real in these accountability groups. These challenges/ support groups where yes we workout BUT most importantly we heal in those groups.

Some of us get so down on ourselves and we are struggling to stay above our thoughts, fears, insecurities and the way we feel about the choices we’ve made that has led us to where we are. I work out to release all the negative. To release the ideas of lack that once consumed me. I thank God that I no longer live there. I visit cause I’m human from time to time but I don’t stay there!!!

It is no easy task to motivate and encourage people when you feel lost. To lead when you’re not sure you’d follow you. I’m here to tell you YOU ARE NOT ALONE! It’s going to always feel like you’re the only one going through the fire when you’re in the fire. I learned that everyone fighting to grow is either having an internal battle or just come out of one. Trust me on that. If you need support comment below or if you just need some people who get it let me know as a wellness coach I help women fight through it and no longer stay there!
