The Beauty in Owning Who You Are
IMG_3304.jpg

Ever find yourself sitting in a crowd and begin to be unsure, compare yourself whether it’s beauty, body image or success of others. Yeah me neither, ok not true I definitely use to though. I use to struggle with myself and wonder if I belonged. But it’s a blessing to be able to stand in your power and your truth. To know who you are, welcome who you’re becoming and love yourself within the process.

The women looking out into tomorrow has now unleashed its worrier spirit. Not because I no longer have fear. Not because I have everything I need. Not because everything is the way I assumed it would be and not because I haven’t given up A LOT. But because I am now more present as ever. I know that everything I have I’ve earned. The things are still promised are still mine. Because being connected to divine and leaning in has allowed me to tap into my highest self and to attract and learn from others tapping into their highest self as well.

"The message that is being relayed to our children and family. We matter. As coaches we remind people that everyone matters. Everyone counts."

I have chosen to constantly and continuously vibrate higher. Not only on the days I choose to but on the days in which I doubt the unknown.
On the days I have to reread the word because I needed to hear my voice say it one more time. On the days I need clarity.
On the days I need the reminder to give the things that I love time to work! I love me so I’m giving me time.

This coaching opportunity has given me time to level up. Its given my kids their mom back. Sometimes I feel like I can’t say back but given my kids the mom that I always knew I could be, a better mom than what I was, the mom I’ve always wanted to be. Because I’ve been allowed myself room to grow I give them room to grow, to think, to evolve.

Ask anyone who has completed a goal, overcome a self restricting battle i.e. fear of success. Overcoming it builds inner strength. It builds perseverance. It builds endurance to go onward. It builds you into the human you need to be. That doesn’t mean you don’t struggle. That doesn’t mean you don’t ever feel like giving up. It doesn’t mean that we don’t ever slip up or fail along the way.

We don’t think about right now but the goodness that is ahead. The better health, the positive (or negative) report from the doctors office. The lowered cholesterol, the regulated blood pressure. The repaired relationship. Or letting go of the destructive ones that no longer serve the person you are transforming into.  The inner healing and outward strength. The new lease on living a life you can be proud of. The new eyes of empowerment and total positivity. The message that is being relayed to our children and family. We matter. As coaches we remind people that everyone matters. Everyone counts.

This journey has totally taught me to rely on hope and faith. Whether in ourselves or in the divine. It calls you to fall more deeply in self care in growing or in heightening our goals. To elevate and other others to do so as well. To walk in the room and no longer compare but to extend your hand to help, to share and invite others to tap into the possibility of vibrating higher.

Grateful for You Being here

Hey Beautiful People 💛

I just wanted to tell you a little about me. First thank you for the connection and thank you following my wellness journey. I pray that my page fills you with motivation, inspiration and always leaves you feeling empowered. Feeling like you got this. Like you can bare whatever cross, hurdles and circumstances life gives you 🙏🏾

Just some background information about me before I starting my journey I worked in corporate America for over 12yrs in the medical device then pharmaceutical industry. While doing so, I felt convicted that there was a greater calling on my life. A need of service that only I could fill. My passion stemmed from when I needed to heal and through this healing I had transformed my life through fitness and nutrition. I later became a Wellness Coach. A Institute of Integrative Nutrition Grad & Ambassador promoting holistic vitality, mindfulness and corporate wellness using the power of healing through primary foods ie the foods that fuel our souls and our spirit.

As a fitness enthusiast I began mentoring women and men advocating at home workout regimes from busy professionals to stay at home parents looking to live a healthier lifestyle through fitness, nutrition and support groups using the some of the best tried and tested meal plans and fitness routines.

I began using my visionary expertise leading and curating wellness workshops for creating the dream life that you desire through vision boards and the promise of visualization. Teaching individuals that there is zero distance between you and the life you want.

I am wife to my grade school sweetheart. The first love of my life is my forever partner. I am a mom & bonus mom of 4.

I’m excited to share this with all of you because my journey and my goals are touching and transforming the lives of others. One mother, one relationship, one family at a time. Personally this started by healing me first. What warms my heart the most is that many of my Fit Fam and tribe have became my partners and have also decided to not only lead healthier lifestyles but also to lift, encourage and pay it forward by turning their passion into a paycheck ✨

How about you? I’d love to connect more and learn about you.

Health Tip Tuesday - Sun Breaks

Good Day Lovers ☀️

Happy Tuesday!!!

Wanted to share a Health Tip with you, it's a practice that I've created for myself then implemented it with my tribe and clients who have signed up with me for my 6 month wellness coaching program that I wanted to share here because its too good not to and so easy to implement.

If you are in the office or lunch break when you read this.

Stop and take a sun break.

Sun breaks are essential as the sun naturally makes you smile when you look up and let it kiss you face or skin (try it and tell me it doesn’t) of course don’t ever look directly in the sunlight lol

I started this when I was in corporate and even in the winter months if the sun was shining even just a little I’d go out and take a breather. I’d breathe, cry, send up a prayer or such a quick gratitude mantra.

You can try this one.

Sun-break mantra: I thank you for this light. I pray that aligns me with my purpose, provides clarity and gives me the comfort and vision I need to make it through my assignment today.

Breathe in for 3 and hold your breathe for 5 seconds. Breathing in through your nose and blowing out of your mouth. You can be in either seated position or standing looking up to the sun.

I personally didn’t care if I looked crazy doing it because doing it prevented me from feeling anxious. That should take all of 5-10mins if you can spare that. Of course don’t want to over do it if your boss or company doesn’t allow it.

Although no offense to smokers.... but I noticed that all my co-workers ALWAYS went out before and after a meeting or lunch or all the above and several times throughout the day to take a smoke breaks. For them this was their form of calming and relief or release.

So I decided since I didn’t smoke...cigarettes... “sun breaks” or breathe breaks whenever I could especially when my workload piled up sun breaks would do. That’s where the name came about. This helped tremendously whenever I would sense that I was getting overwhelmed or on the brink of a anxiety attack or I got an email that had a tone I’d get up and talk a walk and would feel like a whole new person when I got back to my cubicle.

Just Keep Swimming
when did I become THAT MOM that pushes her children to do endless amount of activities to stimulate their growth and social skills or because we want them to excel at something they take a liking to and not lead by example
IMG_2759.jpg

Hey Beautiful People

I did it on Saturday that is :)

For a little over a year my kids have been taking swim lessons. One day on my daughters make up class. They told me they pair her up with a class above her level because that’s all they had.  I watched her do things on the first try in her swim class. Her make up instructor waved over to ask what level she was in and learned she was two levels below and was doing what was asked of her. (I guess she does listen🙄)

POWER UP REMINDER: Believe it or not if you put yourself in a position to listen, observe and allow yourself to be coachable then you're in allow yourself to learn and attain knowledge no matter how “advanced” others seem to be around you.

But heres where I come into the scenario. As moms we pride ourselves on the activities our children do. Hear me out...Whether it be a soccer mom, track mom, baseball mom, swim or football mom...but that day as I watched her I had to take a step back and say when did I become THAT MOM that pushes her children to do endless amount of activities to stimulate their growth and social skills or because we want them to excel at something they take a liking to and not lead by example?

We put our children in activities because we know the end results and we believe in their greatness! I thought to myself I don't know how to swim to save my life. And I’ve always I’ve always wanted to learn how but I signed up my kids first...WHY is that? It wasn’t even like they asked. It was offered at the gym so I signed up our two younger children because the older two knew how and one was taking swim in school. Meanwhile I put me last...yet again cause that’s what we moms do right?
The same girl that loves the water, the same girl that literally hears waves speaking and calling her. The water-bearer.

Today I did it!!! I chose to lead. EXCITED, a little scared but willing to be coachable and try new things! Even after my lesson was over I practiced. We should want more for ourselves especially as mothers and caregivers. I was so ecstatic and nervous of course because it’s something new. It’s something I really want to excel at and maybe I feel like why did I wait so long to learn. But all those thoughts went out the window the minute I got into the water. I was thinking I wonder what people would think than I thought wait WHO CARES!

This time next year I won’t be just loving the idea of going to the beach and actually go into water. It’ll be a thing in the past that I watch my kids fearfully as they are fearless in the water. Maybe I won’t be that mother if they go too far in I won’t be screaming at the top of their lungs panicking (because I can’t save them)

2018 has been the dopest year thus far!!! I have taken leaps of faith like you wouldn’t believe. I’ve bet on me more than ever. I have taken so many chances and have just done a lot of things differently to say the least. This is MY YEAR!

Your coach...your soul sista...this beach lover...is about to FINALLY learn how to swim. I don’t expect it to be a quick process because letting go of fear can be a challenge but I’m so ready to lean in on the professionals and hope not to be a crazy student.

Cheers to truly living your life not just for social media but to really lead a life and lifestyle that you yourself can admire. Also show that all things are possible as long as you believe in you and take the necessary steps to keep living, and growing and never stop learning. 😘
